Union County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi announced on March 26 that vote-by-mail ballots for the Annual Westfield School Election will be available starting Wednesday, April 1. Voters can pick up mail-in ballots in person at either of the two Union County Clerk’s offices located in Westfield and Elizabeth.
The availability of vote-by-mail ballots gives residents an early option to participate in the school election, which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21. The initiative aims to make voting more accessible and convenient for all eligible voters.
The Westfield office at 300 North Avenue East will be open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Elizabeth office at 2 Broad Street will operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Rajoppi said that vote-by-mail ballots will also be mailed out beginning April 1 to those who have previously requested them.
Voters are encouraged to plan ahead and review all election materials carefully before casting their ballot.
