The Union County Sheriff’s Office has announced the graduation of its 2025 Youth Academy class. The program, which takes place annually, is designed to teach young participants about respect for laws and the importance of being positive role models in their communities.
In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office expressed appreciation for those involved in making the program successful. “We thank all instructors and staff whose efforts contribute to this program’s ongoing success each year,” officials said.
Support from family members and friends was also acknowledged. “We also appreciate the family members and friends who support these recruits, and we value the opportunity given to the Sheriff’s Office to teach respect for laws and highlight the importance of being positive role models in their communities,” according to the statement.
County leadership was recognized for providing resources that enable youth programs like this one. “Our sincere gratitude extends to the county commissioners and county manager for their steadfast support of our youth initiatives by providing the necessary resources to ensure the program’s success,” officials added.
The Sheriff’s Office commended this year’s graduates, noting their potential as future leaders: “All graduates have shown the qualities needed to become community leaders, and we couldn’t be more proud.”
