Diesel gas was sold at the lowest price of $3.49 per gallon at one gas station in Union County during the week ending Feb. 21, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Reported prices for diesel gas in Union County averaged $3.86 per gallon.
Of the 184 reported gas stations in cities within Union County, 51 offered diesel gas.
Across New Jersey, the average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas rose to $3.90, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
