Census Bureau: 76.4% of people in Union County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 571,963 citizens living in Union County in 2021, 76.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 436,808 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 212,401 were male, constituting 48.6%, and 224,407 were female, making up 51.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Union County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 77.9%.
