The Regional Chronic Disease Coalitions of NJ are posting a series of videos for Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.

HPV is transmitted through intimate skin-to-skin contact, and the majority of people will contract the virus at some point in their lives. Most infections cause no symptoms but can lead to cancer in both men and women. The HPV vaccine is the most effective method of preventing HPV from mutating into cancer.

Talk to your healthcare provider to visit the American Academy of Pediatrics at aap.org/hpv to learn more about how to prevent this infection.
