The Union County Board of Commissioners would like to thank the volunteers who came out to prep the fabric and sew pockets onto the pillows that will be created and used for the Comfort & Care Pillow a project on November 19th at the Plainfield Performing Arts Center.
This project, in coordination with Union County’s Office of Community Engagement & Cultural Diversity, Plainfield Parks and Recreation, the Girl Scout Troop #40954, Division of Child Protection and Permanency and Cooperative Counseling services, will provide pillows to 30 youth who are entering the foster care system. The pillows will feature a pocket stuffed with some extra goodies to enjoy.
