Wear Purple Day

3

County of Union, New Jersey issued the following announcement.

Last Friday, County employees showed their support for " Wear Purple Day," in recognition of Alcohol Awareness Month.

The NJ Association of County Alliance Coordinators, which represent the 21 County Municipal Alliance programs throughout NJ, declared April 22, 2022, as "Wear Purple Day".  This is in recognition of the Council on Substance Abuse-National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence's (COSA-NCADD) Alcohol Awareness Month.  By wearing purple, a person is demonstrating that they know someone whose life has been improved through alcoholism treatment or that they support treatment and recovery for alcoholism.
