Asw. Michele Matsikoudis, a member of the New Jersey General Assembly representing District 21, posted a series of updates on her social media account regarding the recent election and its aftermath.
On November 4, 2025, Matsikoudis reminded constituents about Election Day, stating: “Attention, District 21: it’s Election Day and polls are now open! Be sure to get out and make your voice heard in this critically important election!

Two days later, as results began to take shape, she addressed her supporters again. On November 6, 2025, Matsikoudis wrote: “Though we wait for the results of Tuesday’s election to be finalized, it appears that the voters of District 21 have chosen a different direction for the next term in the Assembly. While I am of course disappointed in this outcome, I remain so incredibly proud of…”
She continued in a follow-up post on November 6, stating: “…the important work that my team and I have accomplished over the past four years.
Representing you all has been the honor of a lifetime, and I look forward to continuing to serve you with distinction for the remainder of my term.

District 21 is located in northern New Jersey and includes portions of Union County and surrounding areas. Members of the New Jersey General Assembly serve two-year terms.
