Assemblywoman Michele Matsikoudis, representing New Jersey’s 21st legislative district, posted several messages on her official X (formerly Twitter) account this week. Her posts addressed both personal and public matters relevant to her team and constituents.
On September 10, 2025, Matsikoudis recognized a member of her staff: “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to my Chief of Staff, Josh! Our team and the residents of District 21 are lucky to have you! “
The following day, September 11, she marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with two consecutive posts. In the first post she wrote: “On the 24th anniversary of the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, we remember the 2,977 lives we lost far too soon, and the many we’ve lost in the years since from injuries sustained on that tragic morning. (1/2)” She followed up with a second message: “May we continue to tell their stories, and may we always strive to be worthy of the legacy of bravery, kindness, and national unity that they left behind. (2/2)”
September 11 is commemorated annually in the United States as Patriot Day in memory of those killed during the terrorist attacks in New York City; at the Pentagon near Washington D.C.; and aboard United Airlines Flight 93. Nearly three thousand people died as a result of these coordinated events in 2001.
