On Friday, Feb. 28, former Cranford Senior High School standout Dennis McCaffery’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 8-0 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Ashland Eagles.
The game took place at UT Baseball Field. This was their first matchup against the Eagles this season.
The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at UT Baseball Field against Davenport Panthers.
